بالشراكة مع جمعية السلام الايطالية وبتمويل من برنامج المؤسسة الكندية لدعم المبادرات الصغيرة، يقوم مركز الأطفال والفتوة في مشروع الحد من العنف بتطوير المهارات الحياتية، وعبر سلسلة ورش عمل بهدف توعية وتمكين، ومشاركة المجتمع المحلي في رسم الأولويات، والمتابعة في ظل الأوضاع المستجدة في لبنان على مختلف الصعد الحياتية، السياسية، والاقتصادية والاجتماعية للأسرة والافراد. حيث استهدفت ورش العمل الأطفال والشباب اضافة للأهل والفعاليات الاجتماعية المتنوعة.

تعالج الحوارات، الخلل في المساواة بين الجنسين، ونبذ العنف، والتصدي للأنحراف، والتعليم والصحة، وفرص التنمية المجتمعية، والسياسات الناظمة للخدمات المتمحورة بين الأنروا ومنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية والمنظات غير الحكومية، وعلاقاتها في المجتمع المحلي الفلسطيني، والتغيير الديمغرافي الذي طرأ على النسيج الأجتماعي السكاني للمخيم، وكذلك سياسات الدولة المضيفة – لبنان ازاء المخيم والوجود اللاجئ في لبنان.

فالى جانب ورش العمل مع الأطفال والشباب، جرى عقد ورشة عمل تمهيدية للكبار، بحضور 35 مشاركا تم اختيارهم من الأهل اباء وامهات، وفعاليات اجتماعية، وناشطين، وعاملين في الحقل التربوي والاجتماعي. تناولت الورشة لمحة عن التطور السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي والنسيج السكاني للمخيم، وصولا للوضع الراهن، وتاثيرات هذه المتغيرات على طبيعة ووظيفة ادارة المجتمع المحلي من هيئات محلية مرتبطة بالبناء السياسي الفلسطيني، والانعكاسات العامة على الأسر والأفراد والجماعات، وما برز من تغيرات اقتصادية من حيث العمل والانتاج والدخل، والبطالة والفقر، وغربة الشباب عن المجتمع، وتفكك الاسرة، وسلوكيات الانحراف والعنف والأبتزاز. عناوين كانت مثار نقاش وحوار اولي تمهيدا لما بعدها من ورش عمل اخرى

In partnership with the Italian Peace Association, and with Funding of the Canada Fund Program for Little Initiatives. The Children & Youth Center- CYC is holding The Preventive Violence By Developing Life Skills Project. Based on two parts, a Series of Reducing Domestic and gender violence, b. Obtain a safe place for women and girls in CYC.
CYC worked on maintaining the CYC building to fit as an open place for women, girls, and boys to meet and act. CYC did a series of children, Youth, and parents workshops with aim of raising awareness, empowerment, and dialogues for involving the local community in setting priorities and follow-up in light of the emerging conditions in Lebanon, politically, economically, socially, and its impact on the lives of the families and individuals.
Therefore, the workshops are addressing the imbalance in gender equality, rejection of violence and discrimination, delinquency, education and health, community development opportunities, Service policies controlled by UNRWA, PLO, and NGO’s, the relations in the Palestinian camp community, the demographic change and its impact on the popular integration of the camp, as well as the discrimination policies of the host country – Lebanon regarding the rights, and the refugee presence in Lebanon.

So, an introductory workshop for adults was held, with 35 participants of men and women. Their concentration was on social and demographical changes of the camp, and its impact on the nature and role of local administrations departments, which related to the Palestinian political structure, and the general effects on the families, groups, and individuals. Plus, what economical change has happened on the income and production, the unemployment, poverty, immigration, the youth alienation from society, the family breakup, delinquincy behavior, violence forms, abuses, and blackmailing. other addresses were raised, to be subjects of the following workshops.
