ملتقى تحدي الأمية … تحديات وحلول

برعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي وبتوجيهات سمو الشيخ أحمد بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، رئيس مؤسَّسة محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم للمعرفة، نظِّمت المؤسَّسة ملتقى تحدي الأمية يومي 24 و 25 شباط 2020

ويهدف مشروع “تحدي الامية” بشكل رئيس إلى توفير حق التعليم لـ 30 مليون عربي دون سن الثامنة عشرة بحلول عام 2030 في الوطن العربي. ويتطلع إلى تزويد الناس بالمهارات والمعارف اللازمة للاستجابة بفاعلية للتحديات المتزايدة للتكنولوجيات الجديدة وعصر المعلومات. كما يهدف إلى مساعدة فئات الشباب على تنمية مهاراتهم وقدراتهم ومعارفهم ، وتعزيز مؤهلاتهم والتأثير إيجاباً في سلوكهم والإسهام في رفاههم الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والثقافي، بما يتيح لهم أن يصبحوا أعضاء منتجين ومشاركين في المجتمع.

وقد كرَّم سمو الشيخ أحمد بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، رئيس مجلس دبي للإعلام، رئيس مؤسَّسة محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم للمعرفة، الفائزين في مبادرة “تحدي الأمية”، وذلك خلال فعاليات اليوم الثاني لـ “ملتقى تحدي الأمية” بنسخته الأولى التي نظَّمتها مؤسسة محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم للمعرفة في دبي بالشراكة مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي واليونسكو.

وشمل “تحدي الأمية” مشاركة ثلاث فئات وهي: الأفراد، المؤسسات والشركات، والحكومات من جميع الدول العربية لاستعراض إنجازاتهم ومشاريعهم المبتكرة والمتميزة في مجال محو الأمية .

فعن فئة الأفراد تم تكريم كل من محمود عباس، مؤسِّس ومدير جمعية الأطفال والفتوّة، من فلسطين، وذلك عن مشروعه “مركز الأطفال والفتوة عام 1996″، الذي يعد أول مؤسسة اجتماعية فلسطينية في لبنان تقوم على أساس تطبيق الاتفاقية الدولية لحقوق الطفل. والذي قدَّم الخدمات التعليمية والاجتماعية من توعية وتدريب وبناء قدرات وحماية وتمكين الآلاف من الأطفال والشباب من الجنسين، والمساعدات الإغاثية والاجتماعية لآلاف الأسر الفلسطينية واللبنانية والسورية الفقيرة أو التي تهجَّرت بفعل الحروب.

كما تم تكريم زهرة بنت سلمان العوفية، وهي ملهمة وصاحبة مشروع تعليمي تطوعي من سلطنة عمان، عن فئة الأفراد، وقد سخَّرت كل ما لديها من أجل تحقيق رسالتها المتمثِّلة بخلق مجتمع متعلِّم ومحو أمية النساء في جميع القرى العمانية. حيث تحمل زهرة شهادة الصف الخامس الابتدائي فقط، لكنها رأت في العمل التطوعي أملاً ومستقبلاً من أجل مجتمعٍ خالٍ من الأمية.

وعن فئة الحكومات، تم تكريم محافظة الوادي الجديد في مصر، وتسلَّم التكريم اللواء محمد سلمان إبراهيم. حيث منحت محافظة الوادي الجديد الأمل للأميين ببرامج فائقة الأثر، نتج عنها انخفاض نسبة الأمية في المحافظة إلى 2 %، وهي الأقل في جمهورية مصر العربية. وفي إطار إبداعها بمبادرات ممنهجة ومدروسة لتفعيل دور الطلاب،

وعن فئة المؤسسات تم تكريم “مؤسسة فودافون مصر لتنمية المجتمع”، وتسلَّم التكريم المهندس محمد يسري حنة، رئيس مجلس الأمناء، وتم تكريم المؤسسة عن تنفيذها أعمالاً وأنشطة غطت 100 قرية في مصر.

Illiteracy Challenge Forum … challenges and solutions Dubai 24-25 Feb. 20202

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Knowledge, the Foundation organized the Literacy Challenge Forum on 24 and 25 February 2020

The “Illiteracy Challenge” project aims primarily to provide the right to education to 30 million Arabs under the age of eighteen by 2030 in the Arab world. It looks to provide people with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively to the increasing challenges of new technologies and the information age. It also aims to help youth to develop their skills, abilities and knowledge, enhance their qualifications and positively influence their behavior and improve their economic, social and cultural well-being, so that they can become productive members and participants in the society.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Knowledge, honored the winners of the “Illiteracy Challenge” initiative, during the activities of the second day of the “Literacy Challenge Forum” in its first edition organized by the Foundation Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for Knowledge in Dubai in partnership with the United Nations Development Program and UNESCO.

The “Illiteracy Challenge” included the participation of three categories: individuals, institutions, companies, and governments from all Arab countries to review their achievements and innovative and distinguished projects in the field of literacy.

From the category of individuals, Mahmoud Abbas, founder and director of the Children & Association, from Palestine, was honored for his project “The Children & Youth Center in 1996”, which is the first Palestinian social institution in Lebanon based on the implementation of the International Child Convention. It provided educational and social services, and raise awareness, training and build capacities, protect and empowering thousands of children and youth of both sexes, provided relief and social assistance to thousands of Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian families who are poor or have been displaced or effected by wars.

Zahra Bint Salman Al-Awfiyah, an inspirational and owner of a voluntary educational project from Oman, was also honored for the category of individuals, and she harnessed everything she had to achieve her mission of creating an educated community and literacy for women in all Omani villages. Zahra holds only the fifth grade certificate, but she saw volunteerism as a hope and a future for a literacy-free society.

In the category of governments, the New Valley Governorate was honored in Egypt, and Major General Mohamed Salman Ibrahim was honored. Where the New Valley Governorate gave hope to the illiterate with high impact programs, it resulted in a decrease the illiteracy rate to 2%, which is the lowest in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

On the category of institutions, the “Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development” was honored, and the award was received by Eng. Mohamed Yousry Hana, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and the Foundation was honored for implementing actions and activities that covered 100 villages in Egypt.
