في 10 اذار احتفل مركز الاطفال والفتوة بيوم المرأة العالمي بحضور أمين سر اللجنة الشعبية وممثلي المؤسسات الاهلية والعديد من النساء الفلسطينيات والسوريات واللبنانيات والصديقات الاجنبيات وشباب وفتيات المركز.

افتتح السيد ابومجاهد مدير المركز الحفل بكلمة ترحيبة بالحضور وخصوصا النساء، الامهات، والاخوات والبنات والعاملات والمناضلات/ محذرا من حرف المناسبة عن الاهداف االنضالية والحقوقية للمراة في اجل نماءها وتطور مكانتها ودورها في المجتمع، وموقع القرار السياسي، والاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وأهمية الابتعاد عن النمط التجاري الدعائي أوجعل يوم المرأة مناسبة ليوم واحد في العام للخطب والكلام الفارغ وأبقاء المراة على حالها. مطالبا بضرورة التنبة لاساليب التربية والثقافة والتقاليد التي تصب في تجريد المراة من حقوقها داخل الاسرة، وابقاءها دون المكانه التي تليق بها. وعدم الاعتراف بها كمنتجة وقيمة مضافة في الاسرة والمجتمع.

ومن ثم قدم عضو الهيئة الادارية والناشطة الاجتماعية السيدة وفاء عيسى لالقاء كلمتها، حيث تحد ثت عن التحديات التي تواجه المرأة الفلسطينية والعربية في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي تمر بها المنطقة العربية عموما وفلسطين خصوصا. مشيرة الى الدورالكبير الذي لعبته وتلعبة المرأة على المستويات كافة في الاسرة والعمل والدفاع عن حقوقها واسرتها ومستقبل ابناءها، والحراك المدني في لبنان والتصدي للاحتلال في فلسطين واثار الارهاب في المنطقة. وفد استندت في حديث من القلب الى القلب على امثلة وشواهد من الواقع المعيوش والاعباء الملقاة على عاتق المرأة، اكانت ربة اسرة او عاملة او ناشطة في المجتمع. حيث لاقت كلمتها ارتياح وترحيب الحضور، ومحاورتها من قبل الحضور في العديد من المسائل،
وفد انتهى اللقاء باهدائها بوكية من الورد وتوزيع الورود على الحضور.. كما قدمت الفرقة الفنية للمركز بعض الرقصات تحية للمرأة في عيدها لا قت الاستحسان والتشجيع

On 10 March, the Children and Youth Center celebrated International Women’s Day in the presence of General Secretary of the Popular Committee, representatives of the NGO’s, beside many Palestinian, Syrian, Lebanese women, foreign friends, young men and women of CYC.

Mr. Abu Moujahed opened the ceremony with welcoming the audience, especially women, mothers, sisters, girls, workers and activists, warning of the turning the objectives of women’s struggle for their rights and development of society, political, economical and social decision makers., by make women’s day suitable for one day a year for commercial, or speeches with no meaning which keep women the same. He called for the necessity of giving careful attention to the methods of education, culture and traditions that lead to depriving women of their rights within the family, and keeping them below the position they deserve, and non-recognition as a producer and value added in the family and society.

Mr. Abu Moujahed has introduced Mrs. Wafa Isa, member of the Board of CYC and Social Activist. She talked about the challenges faced by Palestinian and Arab women in the difficult circumstances facing the Arab region in general and Palestine in particular. Pointing to the great role played by the women at all levels in the family, work, associations and defending their rights, family and the future of their children. the women are sharing in civil movement in Lebanon and confronting the Israeli occupation in Palestine and the impact of terrorism in the Arab region. Mrs. Wafa was talking from heart-to-heart, based on examples and evidence of the reality of the burdens placed on the woman, whether she was a housewife, worker or activist in society. Where she was well received from the audience, and there was long dialogue by the audience on many live issues,

The event ended by offering a bouquet of flowers to Mrs. Isa, and distributing roses to the audience. Then CYC Folklore dance team performed some nice dances awarding the women in their Day. Which was appreciated and encouraged by the audience.
